So I just spent the last 5 hrs or so playing with the [Alice Bot]. Now i honestly haven't really even touched the thing since i was a freshman in college....err..i think it was freshman year....at any rate its been awhile. So my AIML is definetly a little rusty. (AIML is the language that alice bot uses to develop responses to natraul language input). And to top it off AIML is very simialar to XML and its only been forever since i've bothered to code anything along those lines....and to top it all off I decided it would be cool if i could get the linux version running on my linux box. Of course little did i know that JRE (Java Runtime Environment) wasn't installed.....so after screwing around with it long enough i finally got all the libraries it needed installed....but i'm still getting some weird runtime error (probably more on this later i can't remember the error off the top of my head...but it was some java error.) so to make a long story short i eventually gave up and put it on windows for now...and aiml file is an aiml file thankfully....so i can at least get the things written and take out my frustration on Linux later...oh well...its 5 am....time for bed...i'll mess with this more tomorrow.
